Edit: There have been more changes, see this post
Many people wrote us asking for a simpler way to enter monthly or weekly transactions.
We’ve rebuilt it and now you can define periodic transactions that will be entered every x weekday or on a specific month’s day. So you won’t get out of balance with that 1st day of the month bills anymore!

More info on periodic transactions on this post
We’ve added a calendar preview feature for the current enabled periodic transactions too, and also a lot of bugs have been fixed (thanks all for reporting!)

Now you can specify a date range before generating the tags pie chart.

Today we’ve added the ability to browse all tagged transactions within a month, so for example now you can see how much you spend each month on food & groceries.
First time you click on a tag you’ll get a full list of all related transactions, but then you can use the available controls to navigate through months.
Hope you find it useful!

Now you can give access to your projects to other users, either with readonly or readwrite rights. It’s designed for groups or associations that have joint budgets, expenses and income.
Think on an association, there may be a treasurer figure taking care of the accounting, but all the other members should be able to access to that info on real time as well. That’s what we provide.
You can invite someone to access any of your projects by clicking on Edit project
, and there is a textbox where you can specify either the username or the email from a registered user. If the person you want to invite hasn’t got an account just enter his email address and he will receive a message with a link to confirm the invitation.

Now on the right side of the main page you’ll find this new calculator:

You can do simple operations from there, convert currency values and also insert the result amount as a new transaction with just one-click. If you prefer you can undock it to a floating window too.

Finally, we have found a way to troubleshoot the translations problem. Yes, we have worked hard developing a tool to solve this issue since we announce in this post that moneytrackin’ would be only in English and Spanish.

You can export the transactions to a spreadsheet file. It’s very easy: just click on the export icon
, choose the project and time range and you’ll be prompted to download the file. Right now you can export only in excel format, PDF will be added very soon (as well as import).

Here is a new way to control your budget, we call it ‘monthly limits‘. From now on you can set a limit amount on each tag you want, and they will appear on the main screen with a percentage bar showing you how much limit you have consumed on the current month.
You can either specify a spending limit (a negative amount) or a revenue objective, where the bar will be showing how far you are from reaching it.
We added also the ‘insert new limit’ form on a window, we think they are more confortable than the old way (with all stacked up on the main screen).
Expect more windows like this to come! We are going to transform all forms into windows some day.
