Split transactions
From today you can split a transaction into different ones. That’s very useful for example to track where did you exactly spent some cash you got from an ATM machine withdrawal.
To do it you just have to click on the “
Split” action of the desired transaction’s dropdown menu. It will bring you to the Split transaction form:

There you can enter all subtransactions. Please note that they are just for informative purposes, subtransactions doesn’t have neither data not tags, and they also don’t affect any balance (only the parent transaction does). This is the same behaviour as on the desktop software Intuit Quicken.
Once you’ve saved the split it will inmediately show on the transaction list as well as on the reports:

Hope it helps you to have a clearer view of your finances and don’t hesitate to give us feedback

One feature i use alot in my accounting package is splitting a transaction, and having half of it go to a category (or tag), and the other half a transfer… that way if i pay for dinner for example using my credit card, and somebody gives me cash for their half, then i can do half for the category and half as a transfer to cash.
any chance of implementing this anytime soon? What about on the iPhone version?
still evaluating the service… almost but not quite meets my needs… one or 2 little features like that would do the trick
cheers

I agree totally with Greg. That kind of feature (Tagging subtransactions) would be of great use for controlling the payments made with credit cards. I hope it can be implemented soon.
