Keep those contributions coming
After launching our new version last month many users from all over the world have contribute by sharing their own money saving tips and/or locations. All this community knowledge is tightly integrated on every user’s accounting as shown on the image below:

Everyone can take advantage and start saving easily by reviewing tips from other users and taking part on the generated conversations by commenting them. Relevant tips (those that match the transaction topic) are noticed by showing up a light bulb next to the transaction on a very unobstrusive way.
The same applies to the message board, we’ll display a speech balloon icon next to transaction if there is any thread matching it. If the user has set up his location on the configuration form he’ll also see relevant local tips (locations that could help to save) close to him.
All tips entered are 100% public (though they can be commented only by moneytrackin’ users). You can browse and search them, see all local tips on our saving map and also in google earth.
Currently the best rated tips in english are:
Another valuable user contribution channel is the new message board. Thanks to the thread How whould you improve Moneytrackin’? (which have now more than 40 answers) we are discovering and fixing new bugs as well as attending new requests and ideas for improve in a direct way.
Finally, we’d like to thank our contributing users and encourage everyone to participate on our community. Share some advice and receive it back from many others! Receiving custom financial advice from thousands of people globally is really cool, isn’t it?
