Enhanced Dashboard and More

June 28th, 2007 by admin

The purpose of the Dashboard is to allow you to keep a quick, ongoing glance at your overall finances through an easy display.

We have created a feature that lets you add external content, allowing you to include and update all your financial information that you want into your own Dashboard.

Enhanced Dashboard

The menu on the right has all of the necessary content for adding this information into your Dashboard. To add content, just drag the item from the menu into the middle area (below the “Summary” box). If you want to delete an item, then simply do the opposite: drag the item from the middle are to the menu on the right.

In “My Accounts” you’ll find all of the accounts you want. The next section is “Tools”. We will continue to add new tools. For now you have these:

    1. Stock portfolio. This tool allows you to see all of the companies and shares you own in your Stock Portfolio. You can configure up to 5 different companies in your portfolio, number of shares you own in each, how much purchased them for, and we’ll show you your unrealized gains or losses on each.
    2. Google finance market summary. Follow the performance of the major market indexes.

Finally, in the “News” section, we have included some financial news sources that we think will interest you. If you add any of these into your Dashboard, we’ll show you the latest news to get you up to date at all times.

Other improvements

Besides the Dashboard, we have been working on some of the other improvements you have been asking for:

- The Running Balance column on PDF & XLS reports

- A new button to clear the main account (deleting all of its transactions). Many people have requested this in order to fix an incorrect import without having to delete all of transactions one by one.

- Forgotten password recovery

New running balance column

June 15th, 2007 by admin

Another popular request implemented: We’ve added a new column on the transaction list view: the running balance. It works just as in almost all online banking sites, we display the accumulated balance next to the transaction amount value for an easy viewing.

Running Balance example

You can follow now your balance evolution at a glance and at the same time it lets you make more accurate predictions of your financial situation in upcoming months.

Introducing the dashboard

June 1st, 2007 by admin

Many of you requested the possibility to view your overall financial situation at a glance, thus, we are launching the dashboard.

Note that there are two different views on the main page now, the classic transaction list and the dashboard. You can change from one to another just by clicking on the desired tab.

The dashboard is composed by a set of boxes showing some useful information. You can reorder the whole layout by dragging the boxes around as your own convenience, and you can fold/unfold them as well. The arrangement will be saved and remembered next time you log in back to your account.

The most important box is the summary, where you can see the list of all your accounts and their balance. We also add all the balances up to the Total balance value. If you had projects on different currencies the total value will be calculated converting all balances to your default currency for an easier understanding.

On the right side there is a plot showing the balance history for the last year. Once again, the values are converted to your default currency.

Summary box

Then there is a different box for each account. It shows the last 5 transactions, the tag cloud and finally the established limits (in case you’ve entered any).

Account box

Stay tuned because we are going to add new cool functionalities to the dashboard soon!!
