Import feature added

February 12th, 2007 by admin

You can now insert batch transactions using the new import tool we’ve added. Just click on its respective icon (Import icon) to open the Import window:

There are two formats accepted: the Moneytrackin Excel one and the CSV. The first one is used to reinsert all transactions exported from moneytrackin’.

CSV is quite an ‘open’ format. It’s aim is to let you import batch files from banks or other sources into your moneytrackin’ account. Once your file has been uploaded you will need to match the columns with the respective fields contained on them, as shown on the image below.

CSV field matching

For the time being we only accept these formats, but we are working on additional ones such as OFX and QIF.

    Great app!

I’m my opinion there are 2 missing features.

    1. Add a long description text field.
    2. The main project should be the sum all of your projects.

    Keep the good work!

I am a new user, and I have attempted to import data using a CSV file I downloaded from my bank, unfortunately, I keep getting the following error:

The transaction Online Payment 341956043 To Blank has not been entered: Invalid date.

I am following the format requested, but it still is not working.

    Any suggestions?
