New excel and pdf reports

January 10th, 2007 by admin

There is a new icon on the toolbar: Reports icon, the Reports button.

Clicking on it you can generate an Excel report that’ll look more or less like this:

Excel report sample

You just need to enter the desired time range as well as the project.

We are going to let users generate PDF reports as well. Hope you find it useful!

* Edit: PDF reports added!

hello there… i just want to report that the “report” button is not working :) … the xls document generated contains an error. i would like to suggest to the report and the pizza graph to have a tag selection, like what tags we want to include.

    thanks for the attention,

    Caio

Thanks for reporting Caio, can you paste here the error message you are getting?

    hi!

    it’s a great work =) really :-)
i’d like just to point out an aspect of the “tag strategy” that’s used to classify exepenses.

it seems to me that, looking the example posted by “admin”, the pie chart is not consistent since expenses classified with “car” (repair) and “car” are present twice (because of the “car” tag).
more over, imho, salary should not appear in the pie chart …

i’d like to submit you my idea of “effective” pie chart but i’m not sure that’s the right place …

    please, let me now :-)

    best regards

Hi, thanks for opening this kind of space. First of all I’m a Big fan of mo.neytrack.in and love just like it is. But I would like to make a suggestion (if you alow me to do this ;)

What about the possibility to transfer funds between the Projects?

If this isn’t the properly channel to make this kind of suggestion, please let me know.

    PS: Sorry about the English…

Hi, i agree with Rafael. i just started out moneytrackin and its great! but one thing i noted is if i were to set up an ‘emergencyfund’ per say, i would have to manually deduct money from my main, and add money to my project ‘ef’. It would be much more convenient if you can transfer funds b/w projects.

Also, the report tool isn’t working for me =( i clicked accept many times but nothing happened.

thanks, and hope i’ll get a reply soon.

    Anyi

Rafael and Any, we are working on the feature you suggested, expect it to be online soon ;-)

We are going to do some research on the bug you report with the reports.

    Thanks for using our app!

When I try to generate a PDF or Excel report, nothing happens. Running XP SP2 w/ FF 2 and the latest versions of Flash and Java.

Hi. Great job with the webapp. I was using gnucash before bu it had more functionalities than i required and I was stuck to one particular PC to use it.
Also, like some users, I can’t get the reports to work. Tried IE and Firefox with the latest JRE and Flash player both on Win and Linux.

    Thanks

  12. admin Says:

The bug causing malfunctions with the reports was fixed ten days ago, thanks to Pedro for his collaboration
