Moneytrackin firefox extension

December 12th, 2006 by admin

In order to make it easier to enter your transactions we have coded our own firefox extension.

Our logo will appear in the status bar at the bottom right of your browser. If you click on it you’ll be logged automatically to moneytrackin’, but before you can do that you need to enter your credentials.

Right-click popup

To do so just right-click on the logo and then on “Account Info”, or if you prefer go to the firefox’s extensions menu, select our extension and click on the “Configure” button.

Entering your credentials

Finally you have multiple fast ways to add new transactions. You can select some text, right-click on it and select “Add Transaction” from the popup menu. If you select text it’ll be entered on the “description” field, but if you select a number it’ll be placed on the “Amount” field.

Insert form

You can also show up the insert form by clicking on different placed buttons (Tools -> Add transaction, bottom status bar right-click popup menu and the one on the upper toolbar icon ).

It’s a great extension! The only problem is that I have a lot of tags on my project and I don’t remember the exact name of them, so would be a great feature have a list of them inside the windows of Add transaction!

I like the idea of the Firefox extension, but when I right-click the Mo.neytrack.in icon, I don’t see a way to enter my credentials. Also, when I click the icon, it says my account is empty. Am I doing something wrong?

  4. Tom Johnson Says:

Oh, nevermind. I was clicking the wrong button. To enter the credentials, you click the icon in the lower-right corner of your screen, not the icon in the Firefox toolbar. Glad that was easy to do.

There’s a new update of the moneytrackin’ firefox extension, the “illegal char” error should be fixed now. Please update your version.

I just downloaded the extension (version 1.3.3) and I’m having the “illegal char” error. I tried looking for an update, and it actually finds an update to version 1.3.4, it downloads it and installs it, but i’m still getting version 1.3.3

    Cheers for a great site!
