Periodic transactions refined

December 29th, 2006 by admin

Edit: There have been more changes, see this post

Many people wrote us asking for a simpler way to enter monthly or weekly transactions.

We’ve rebuilt it and now you can define periodic transactions that will be entered every x weekday or on a specific month’s day. So you won’t get out of balance with that 1st day of the month bills anymore!

Periodic transactions improved

We’ve added a calendar preview feature for the current enabled periodic transactions too, and also a lot of bugs have been fixed (thanks all for reporting!)

Server problems and upgrade

December 18th, 2006 by admin

This weekend we’ve experienced some problems relating to high server load. It ran out of memory a couple of times and the database server process got killed.

Yesterday we performed a memory upgrade, but we are also preparing for a bigger & better server. We’ll announce it here and we’re sure that it’ll improve overall system performance.

Improved tag browsing

December 15th, 2006 by admin

Today we’ve added the ability to browse all tagged transactions within a month, so for example now you can see how much you spend each month on food & groceries.

First time you click on a tag you’ll get a full list of all related transactions, but then you can use the available controls to navigate through months.

Hope you find it useful!

Moneytrackin firefox extension

December 12th, 2006 by admin

In order to make it easier to enter your transactions we have coded our own firefox extension.

Our logo will appear in the status bar at the bottom right of your browser. If you click on it you’ll be logged automatically to moneytrackin’, but before you can do that you need to enter your credentials.

Right-click popup

To do so just right-click on the logo and then on “Account Info”, or if you prefer go to the firefox’s extensions menu, select our extension and click on the “Configure” button.

Entering your credentials

Finally you have multiple fast ways to add new transactions. You can select some text, right-click on it and select “Add Transaction” from the popup menu. If you select text it’ll be entered on the “description” field, but if you select a number it’ll be placed on the “Amount” field.

Insert form

You can also show up the insert form by clicking on different placed buttons (Tools -> Add transaction, bottom status bar right-click popup menu and the one on the upper toolbar icon ).

Shared projects and much more

December 5th, 2006 by admin

Now you can give access to your projects to other users, either with readonly or readwrite rights. It’s designed for groups or associations that have joint budgets, expenses and income.

Think on an association, there may be a treasurer figure taking care of the accounting, but all the other members should be able to access to that info on real time as well. That’s what we provide.

You can invite someone to access any of your projects by clicking on Edit project Edit project, and there is a textbox where you can specify either the username or the email from a registered user. If the person you want to invite hasn’t got an account just enter his email address and he will receive a message with a link to confirm the invitation.

Proyectos compartidos y mucho más

December 5th, 2006 by admin
