New system for translating moneytrackin’ into your language

November 17th, 2006 by admin

Finally, we have found a way to troubleshoot the translations problem. Yes, we have worked hard developing a tool to solve this issue since we announce in this post that moneytrackin’ would be only in English and Spanish.

So here it is the new translation tool. It comes with all languages that were discontinued in the past (Catalan, German, French, Bulgarian and Russian). Any moneytrackin’ user can access the tool and translate a couple of phrases or a whole language. It’s very easy:

  • Once logged in, click on the Translate! link at the bottom of the page
  • The following page shows a list of all the current translations, its complete percentage and the number of pending phrases to finish it.

    Current translations list

  • If you want to translate to a language that doesn’t appear on the list, you can add it with the Create new Language link, (actually there are 75 language pending to traduce). If the desired language continues missing on that list you can write us an e-mail and we’ll kindly add it.

    Adding new languages

  • When you click a language from the list then the translation window appears. On the left side there are the english phrases, followed by the translated phrases. If the translation row is empty (because that phrase hasn’t been translated yet) it appears in red. In order to translate a phrase you must click on the translation row to make it editable, enter the translated phrase and press ok, repeating these steps for all the sentences you want to translate. Please note that all the translated phrases will be validated before being published.

Come on, help us translating the application in your own language!

Thanks to the community and specially the volunteers that translated moneytrackin’ the old way.
